The U.S. Postal Service Move Update

The Postal Service is set to begin enforcing its latest effort to reduce the volume of Undeliverable As Addressed mail. As of November 23rd, all Presorted 1st Class as well as Standard Mail will be required to meet what they call Move Update Standards. These standards are designed to ensure the validity of addresses used in these type of mailings including the individuals name.

You may already be aware of these changes and are taking steps to be in compliance or perhaps you have existing systems and procedures in place that meet the new requirements. If you are, you're ahead of the game, but if you're like a lot of other mailers and are unfamiliar with the changes, the enclosed material gives you an overview of this initiative and the options available to mailers to qualify their mailings.  

As your Mailing Agent, we want to ensure that each of the mailings we present on your behalf meets these standards and receives the best service and postage rates available. We have already acquired the software that allows us to qualify your mail via the National Change of Address system (NCOA) which we feel is the most straight forward and economical method for most of our client/partners. However, we stand ready to assist you in your efforts should you choose to qualify your list on your own using one of the other options.
